Following TaylorMade’s announcement of their brand-new set of iron clubs, we decided to showcase many of the new clubs recently introduced by other established golf brands. We love being able to give a club fitting for many golfers who come in to see the clubs we offer.
In this blog, we will break down several new golf club sets and discuss what makes them great options for golfers to consider when purchasing new clubs.
The New TaylorMade P790, P770, and P7CB Irons
TaylorMade is coming out with some new irons (the P790, P770, and P7CB) that will make golfers very happy. As many analysts, everyday golfers, and even pros have said, TaylorMade is one of the best manufacturers in the golf industry when it comes to making clubs, particularly their irons. TaylorMade features several royal golf ambassadors that choose to use their sticks, including 3 of the greatest in men’s golf, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Scottie Scheffler, as well as Nelly Korda, one of the top pro female golfers.
Every golfer knows a strong iron game can be a major key to success on the course. These pros, especially Scheffler with his recent success, have shown that with good irons can bring out a lot of talent to show for it, whether you’re hitting long with an iron or chipping it short onto the greens.
The way these irons are designed offers a great distance-friendly advantage, allowing you to hit them further. They work best for players who prefer more precision, and are tailor-made (no pun intended) to work well in custom fitting. With each new iteration of the TaylorMade club, you’ll also see an increase in club speed and ball speed, making it perfect for your swing. These aspects elevate the “why” of you considering these as your choice for a new set.
Aside from those aspects that make them work, these new versions also come with a dark grey plating that will help to reduce the glare from getting in your eyes.
And who knows, if you start practicing enough with those clubs, you might become a multi-PGA champion in no time, like Scottie Scheffler and many other golfers who embrace TaylorMade’s clubs!
A New Brand of Titleist Clubs Has Arrived
Titleist has also revealed a new set of irons, like TaylorMade. They haven’t done a new club release in a few years, but they are back with the release of the T100, T150, T250, T350, T250U, and U505 driving irons that were revealed at this year’s Charles Schwab Challenge tournament in May.
One of the people at the event who tested the clubs said, “…but basically softening the leading edge so it has a little bit more bounce. So I’m a little steeper into the ground, so just by shaving it down, it kind of bounces off the turf, gets through the turf a little easier, a little shallower.”
Creating divots in golf is a good sign of a golf swing, and if the iron clubs can create what this reviewer talks about with the ability to get under the ball into the ground, that’s a great sign for you if you are looking for new clubs that help that part of your game.
Why It’s Important to Know About New Clubs
These golf club manufacturers understand what golfers need, and that’s why we want you to know about them! Whether you’re looking to grow in the sport for professional reasons or to just be a casual player, the difference a new set of golf clubs can make can’t be stated enough, especially when you have them fitted properly!
With every iteration of a new golf club, the technology improvements continue to show what makes these clubs great. You will look back on the great decision you made when you bought them, and your enjoyment of golf and your confidence to play well in it will increase significantly.
There is so much more to golf than just buying new clubs; you have to know the basics of the game, how to swing properly… but nothing is more important to your success in golf than being fitted with your new clubs. It can mean so much, down to the littlest of details that would affect your swing and contact with the ball. All things that come with building that confidence and enjoyment.
We can’t recommend enough that you seek a club fitting with Woods to Wedges when you can, and if you have any questions or want golf lessons, reach out today. We can’t wait to help!
